Session Attendance Tracking: Powering a New Level of Intelligent Attendee Visibility

Running a multi-track conference means managing multiple sessions, tracking attendee movement, and ensuring accurate attendance records across your event. Sarcon’s Check-In System has always focused on bringing clarity to event operations through real-time badge scanning and instant attendance validation. Now, with the rollout of Session Attendance Tracking, that capability extends to session-level engagement.

How Session Attendance Tracking Works

This feature allows your team to record both check-ins and check-outs for individual sessions. When enabled for specific sessions, the check-in interface displays a toggle between “In” and “Out” scans on the check-in page. Staff can easily switch between modes, capturing a complete timeline of participation for every attendee.

The result is a full picture of session attendance. You see when someone entered, when they left, and how much time they spent in that session. This level of detail becomes essential when you need to verify attendance, analyze engagement patterns, or produce detailed participation reports.

Session Activity Visible on the Check-In Page

Once attendees are scanned, their session activity appears directly on the check-in page’s attendee listing. Each record displays complete In and Out information along with the corresponding duration for that session.

For example, if an attendee checks into a CEO Panel Discussion session and exits after 20 minutes, the system automatically logs both events and calculates the total time spent in that session. Multiple entries and exits are tracked cumulatively through the track in and out mechanism, ensuring no data gaps throughout the session.

This live view gives your team immediate visibility during the event. They can see participation patterns as they happen, without waiting for post-event reports or manually reconciling data.

Dedicated Session Scan History

Under Scan History, there’s now a separate Session Scan History section that organizes all In and Out data for every enabled session. This keeps session-specific scans separate from other check-in activity, making it easier to review participation data for individual sessions.

The log is clear and searchable, which is particularly valuable when you need to verify attendance for a specific session or review participation patterns after the event. Everything is organized by session, so you can quickly find the information you need without sorting through unrelated data.

Session Data in Check-In Stats Report

Session-level data integrates directly into the Check-In Stats Report. All session-related entries are now displayed within the table view, giving you a complete picture of session participation alongside your other event data.

You can filter by session type and export reports that include complete track in and out session records. This makes it straightforward to generate attendance reports, analyze session engagement, or verify participation for compliance purposes. The data is already structured and ready to export, eliminating the need for manual compilation.

What This Means for Event Organizers

Session Attendance Tracking brings several practical capabilities to your event operations. You can record precise session entry and exit times for every attendee. There’s a dedicated session scan history that keeps session data organized and accessible. Individual attendee session durations are tracked automatically, and all of this data flows directly into your exported reports.

This update adds another layer of operational intelligence to Sarcon’s Check-In System. It makes managing session attendance at large conferences more precise and significantly less manual.

Available in Production

Session Attendance Tracking is live in Sarcon’s production environment and ready to use at your next event. Whether you’re managing parallel tracks, verifying attendance requirements, or analyzing session engagement, this feature provides the visibility you need without adding complexity to your operations.

The ability to track when attendees enter and exit sessions, see cumulative participation time, and export detailed session reports gives you control over one of the most challenging aspects of multi-session events. That’s what this update delivers.
